Brilliant news out of Edmonton, as the Oilers have announced that they have re-signed star right-winger Jordan Eberle to a 6 year extension for $6m per season.

Simply put, this is a fantastic deal.  Eberle has put up better numbers in both his first two NHL seasons than Taylor Hall, and I thought that was a great deal.  Eberle could have demanded more money, but thankfully for the Oilers, he was smart enough not to.  I’m of the opinion that Eberle is a fantastic talent, but he will quite probably regress a small bit this season as he was the recipient of an abnormally high shooting percentage.  He is definitely a first line player though, and to have him locked up for another six years is great news for Oilers fans.

Edmonton now has its core.  Hall and Eberle will be terrorising NHL teams together for at least another 7 years.  The future starts now.

  • I’ve been surfing online more than three hours as of late,
yet I by no means found any attention-grabbing article like
yours. It is pretty value enough for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you probably
did, the internet can be a lot more helpful than ever before.
