The Winnipeg Jets traded forward Eric Tangradi, today, for goaltender Peter Budaj and forward Patrick Holland from the Montreal Canadiens.

Budaj, who served as the back-up for Carey Price in Montreal, was 10-8-3 with a 2.51 GAA and .909 save percentage in 24 games played. He is expected to back up Ondrej Pavelec. Dustin Tokarski, who played 10 career regular season games with the Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning, will be replacing Budaj in net.

Patrick Holland split time last season with the Canadiens and the Hamilton Bulldogs down in the AHL. He played five games with Montreal. In 57 games played with the Bulldogs, he scored 6 goals and tallied 11 assists for a total of 17 points, with a minus-5.

Eric Tangradi was placed on waivers by the Jets on Friday and will report to Hamilton. In 55 games played in Winnipeg last season, he notched 3 goals and 6 points.
